Angelina is an Italian and English singer / songwriter and music-maker based in London born in Italy from Italian father and English mother.
Grown up singing in jazz bands and gospel choirs in Italy, Angelina later moved to London to study music and graduated in Popular Music Studies at Goldsmiths University. Angelina’s artistry and creativity managed to flourish together with her passion for voice arrangements and theatrical performances which led her to write, arrange and perform her solo material with the 50-piece choir (Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble) at the renowned Royal Festival Hall for the Chorus Festival, conducted and curated in collaboration with Mercury prize nominee ESKA.
Her recent work has seen Angelina performing as the singer of EAST WALL, a large-scale spectacle of dance and live music which took place at one of the capital’s most iconic buildings, the Tower of London and directed by world acclaimed choreographer and composer Hofesh Shechter to celebrate east London’s rich cultural heritage.
As a versatile vocalist Angelina has performed with different projects at Glastonbury Festival supporting producer Matthew Herbert, London Jazz Festival, Barbican, Ronnie Scott’s, The 229 supporting Afrobeat artist Dele Sosimi, Shepherd’s Bush Empire supporting Jessie Ware and at Lewisham People’s Day supporting Grammy nominated Tippa Irie, Boomtown Festival and Torino Jazz Club to name a few (see ‘Projects’ in main menu to know more about Angelina’s collaborations)
Following her debut single releases of ‘Let Your Heart Be Mine’, ‘No Eyes There‘ and ‘Fight Your Skin‘, written and produced at The Midi Music Company as part of her Music Production Internship, Angelina releases her Debut EP ‘Invisible Ties EP’ showing a wide spectrum of musical influences, exploring the sonic themes of electronic music while wrapping them in string-laden folk and pop.
