We are proud to host our friends from the West – SKIRLIE – who will perform at the Rolling Hills Folk Club in the Smith Memorial Hall, Darnick, Scottish Borders TD6 9AH.
Since this will be a celebration of Music Day we will invite all villagers to come along and hear our guests. We hope to entice a few more from our village to sample folk music and what better way than with a celebration of Music Day.
This will be our final event as we will take a break for the summer restarting again in September.
“SKIRLIE is a Scottish dish with a mixture of Oats and Onions fried in Butter which is normally added to a main course.
This is how we approach our music. Fundamentally Scottish with other things thrown in e.g. Scots Trad, Celtic, Transatlantic, Roots music.”
