Join our singing workshop with Lewisham Sing Out Choirs, Crib Notes - South London's Parents' Choir - and South London Home Choir

Make Music Day 2019

Join choirs from across South London for a fun, warm and welcoming vocal workshop featuring music from around the world. If you’d like a place, don’t hesitate to get in touch by sending an email to by 12noon on Sunday 21 June.

The choirs

Crib Notes is a friendly, non-auditioned choir for parents or carers of young children based in South London. Crib Notes provides a setting where babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are welcome, and parents and carers get to do something for themself. They are currently running ‘Singing Breaks’ on their Facebook page at 11am daily – all are welcome. Downham and Whitefoot Community Choir is made up of locals who just enjoy singing. There is no need to audition as it is open to all regardless of ability. A warm welcome awaits all. Contact Hannah on 07930 083 815.

Grove Park Singers are a friendly and welcoming community choir who usually meet in Grove Park every Thursday from 7-9pm at The Ringway Centre. They sing a diverse range of musical styles, bringing harmony to the community. All welcome – no audition needed. Contact Sheila on 07778 405 320 or

Kender Singers are a small friendly a cappella singing group who usually meet every term time Tuesday at Deptford Lounge, South East London. Palace Acappella is a friendly a cappella choir based on the Crystal Palace triangle with a simple ethos: fun, community and freedom. They believe in the benefits of singing for health and happiness and encourage anyone to join them and free their voice! Quaggy Community Choir is a fun and sociable choir that usually meets at Parkside SE10 Community Centre in Lewisham on Tuesday evenings during term time. We are a multi-genre ensemble that is open to all voices, where everybody is warmly welcomed regardless of ability or experience. South London Home Choir is a collaboration between Quaggy Community Choir and Palace Acappella to keep both choirs singing through the Coronavirus lockdown, welcoming anyone else who wants to join. Eleanor (from Palace) and Jake (from Quaggy) live-stream choir sessions every Tuesday at 7pm on the Palace Facebook page and the Quaggy Facebook page.
