Pop, rock and more
Join Tongue & Groove at St John’s Churchyard for Make Music Day. They are a new amateur performance choir based in East Dulwich who strive to bridge the gap between no-audition community choirs and professional groups. We have teamed a professional Musical Director from theatre with talented and dedicated amateur performers, people who had sung in the past but for various reasons felt singing was now missing from their lives. We are all about engaging with the audience and putting on a good show.Tongue & Groove made their debut at the Dulwich Festival is 2018 and have had an amazing year since then, performing at the Royal Festival Hall, choir events across London and we have recently competed at the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition. Tongue and Groove’s Musical Director Lauren Ronan brings a theatrical approach to pop songs as well as some, soon to be classic, contemporary musical theatre pieces. One of our members says that for her rehearsals are like “Super-food for my mental health”.
