Check out the resources in the Music Library at The Library of Birmingham

To celebrate Make Music Day we have a limited number of CDs to give out (until they are gone!)
Just say MAKE MUSIC FRIDAY to one of the Music library staff to claim your free CD.

Did you know we have practice rooms with electronic pianos in the Music Library? (Only £5 per hour). Everyone who hires a practice room on Make Music Day (21st June), receives a £5 Book Token – Just say MAKE MUSIC TOKEN PLEASE to one of our staff.

Also on Mondays between 5pm and 6.30pm we host an informal meet up for those interested in playing guitar. We are looking at expanding this to percussionists too!

The Music Library is full of resources. We have Teach Yourself Guides, shelves and shelves of sheet music from rock guitar hits to music for bassoons, inspirational music biographies, CDs and DVDs from Opera to World Music and lots more. (Charges apply for CDs and DVDs – ask a member of staff to find out more).  If you haven’t explored our library then do come along.

If you have a Birmingham Library Card bring it with you, if you are not a member then bring some ID that proves your name and address and you can join for free.
