The New Room / John Wesley’s Chapel

Historic 18th century chapel with amazing acoustic, beautiful cobbled courtyard and contemporary 21st centre glass atrium cafe and visitor centre, all in the middle of Broadmead, Bristol

The New Room is a Grade 1 listed building, the tranquil 18th Century John Wesley’s Chapel – the oldest Methodist building in the world. Nestled in the heart of Broadmead in Bristol’s Shopping Quarter, the New Room provides an oasis of calm, as well as a spacious modern visitor centre with an award-winning Fairtrade cafe, providing all refreshments freshly made on site.

Musicians will perform in the visitor centre atrium cafe, which is an airy space with lots of natural daylight.  There may also be a performance space in the Broadmead Courtyard under a gazebo and in the chapel itself.
