As part of World Heart Beat’s celebration for Make Music Day, primary school students on our after-school programme, First Beats, will make junk instruments and practice composing songs and beats in our new music space, World Heart beat Embassy Gardens, in Nine Elms, London.
First Beats music programme is designed to give children their first taste of music education, allowing them to try a variety of instruments and learn about music and music production in a joyful and supportive environment.
This project has kindly been supported by wagamama’s Bowl to Soul Fund.
World Heart Beat is one of the most prominent music charities in the country, providing grassroots, non-selective, richly diverse, music education programmes for children from a vast array of backgrounds. World Heart Beat’s mission is to provide opportunities for all, with an ‘open-door’ approach that welcomes any young person interested in learning music.
