One of the best things about Make Music Day is that it’s open to anyone. So long as events are free, on the 21st June and about music, everyone is welcome to join in the fun and do their own thing. Another great thing about Make Music Day is that, because so many people from around the world take part each year, there are lots of opportunities for people to collaborate and work together.

Global Folk Song Swap
Share music with musicians from around the world. Taking part could not be more simple – Choose a folk song from your community and upload it to our library. Then find another song in the library, record yourself or your group performing it, and share it on Make Music Day.
Great Music Places
Is your city, town or village a place of great music? Come together with other music-makers in your area and tell your story on Make Music Day.
The Playlist
In partnership with Hal Lenoard Europe, we present a selection of songs for you to learn and play. Some of the songs are accompanied by a selection of free resources.
Live Broadcasts
We present our own UK Live Broadcasts, and take part in the Global Livestream – your event could be broadcast across the world!
