On this special day of celebration, our musician in the Hospital Foyer is Christopher Knox Oakley from Richmond, Virginia USA. He is a conductor and pianist and a relaxed exponent of Jazz as well as a wide range of classical music by Barber, Beethoven, Bach & Glass. Currently he is a student at the Royal College of Music. Christopher’s playing has sensitivity, panache and when appropriate, power. In the past he has provided perceptive accompaniment to the sopranos Alexandra Korszeb and Nichole Shim who, with his support gave us brilliant recitals. On this occasion we have invited him to play solo. Once again he is supporting the Friends of the Royal London Hospital Music Project which aims to hearten patients & demonstrate that ‘When Words Fail Music speaks’.
