Make Music Day

A global celebration of music in over 120 countries every 21 June

Make Music Day is a grassroots celebration where communities, musicians and venues collaborate to put on free music events in their local area. Started in France in 1982 as Fête de la Musique, this celebration of music now takes place in 120 countries on the summer solstice. On 21 June every year thousands of events take place across the globe in what becomes the world’s largest DIY music festival.
